BIOS 558 - Biology of Amphibians Evolutionary origin, taxonomy and classification, anatomy, physiology, ecology, behavior, and genetics of amphibians (caecilians, frogs, and toads, salamanders, and sirens). Field techniques of safe capture and monitoring for population presence and abundance. Identification of Ohio species and north American genera and families. Field trips are an integral part of this course.
