HIST 3290 - Ancient Near East: Egypt, Mesopotamia, and the Levant Begins with the Neolithic Revolution and the origins of civilization in the Ancient Near East and Egypt, including the Sumerians, Babylonians, Egyptians, Hebrews, Philistines, Phoenicians and Persians. Assignments and lectures are based on both archaeological and literary sources.
