The course focuses on the scientific basis for medical decision-making through the context of several cardiovascular cases dealing with palpitations, heart murmurs, hypertension, chest pain and shortness of breath; emerging scientific knowledge and technologies that are expected to have a significant impact on medical thinking and clinical practices; and patient interviewing and physical examination skills as they relate to patients who present with cardiovascular diseases or disorders.
