REC 1080 - Fundamentals of Rock Climbing Introduces students to the knowledge and skills needed to safely and enjoyably participate in the sport of rock climbing. Topics include, but are not limited to, terminology, top rope site management, safety systems, and movement related to rock-climbing. Students will also learn to apply the principles and practices of Leave No Trace to minimize environmental impacts related to rock climbing.
