OCOM 8001 - Osteopathic Family Medicine 1 The required Osteopathic Family Medicine One is a two-week rotation designed to provide experiences in an Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency Clinic setting.
Course Outcomes - Appreciate the primary care practitioner’s role as the physician of first contact who delivers holistic, family-oriented, comprehensive, continuous medical care to patients entering the health care system.
- Develop greater confidence in providing traditional quality medical care in ambulatory settings.
- Enhance history and physical exam, diagnostic, procedural, OMT skills, interpersonal communication, psychosocial, and practice management skills to improve patient care.
