ENG 1510L - Writing and Rhetoric I Laboratory Provides foundation for writing skills through attention to coherence, mechanics, syntax, and writing conventions and is taken concurrently with ENG 1510. Does not satisfy Tier I or Arts and Sciences Humanities requirements, but rather offers instructional support for students enrolled in ENG 1510.
Requisites: ENG 1510 placement plus recommendation for ENG 1510L. Permission only. Not open to College Credit Plus students (ND9955 and ND9956). Credit Hours: 1 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 2.0 laboratory Grades: Eligible Grades: F,CR,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to apply essay development strategies.
- Students will be able to recognize and accommodate the rhetorical situations created by distinct audiences.
- Students will be able to implement paragraph development techniques and strategies.
- Students will be able to implement, in written work, the strategies covered in the course.
