Program Overview

The B.A. degree program provides a sound science background along with emphasis on the humanities, social sciences and language. The program is for those students who do not plan on pursuing a graduate degree in chemistry, but wish to pursue a career that will incorporate their background in chemistry such as a laboratory setting, K-12 education (with additional credentialing), law, etc.

Due to changes in standards for teacher licensure in the State of Ohio, the current program in chemistry is subject to change. If you are interested in becoming licensed to teach chemistry at the secondary level, contact the Office of Student Services in the Patton College of Education.
