ENG 7570 - Digital Media in Composition Studies Examines the impact of computers and digital media on writing and communication more broadly, on the nature and boundaries of texts, and on writing pedagogies.

Lecture/Lab Hours: 4.0 seminar Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to analyze and compare major historical developments of new media in Rhetoric and Composition independently.
- Students will be able to analyze and evaluate theoretical approaches to and scholarship on new media and digital composition in ways that meet the methods of established scholars.
- Students will be able to integrate new media scholarship and composing practices into pedagogy at the level of course design.
- Students will be able to compose in multiple modes of new media, demonstrating effective transfer between modes and genres.
- Students will be able to practice critical reading of new media texts through rhetorical analysis independently.
