POLS 5902 - Special Topics in Law and Politics This class provides an in-depth exploration of a special topic in the study of law and politics. Students are exposed to advanced research, key concepts, theoretical debates, and/or methodological concerns with respect to the study of a special topic in the politics of law in domestic and global settings.
Requisites: Credit Hours: 4 Repeat/Retake Information: May be repeated for a maximum of 60.0 hours. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,PR,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to communicate key ideas that pertain to a special topic in law and politics in oral and/or written formats.
- Students will be able to identify key resources to be used in answering questions that pertain to a special topic in law and politics.
- Students will be able to examine contemporary research on new concepts and data that pertain to a special topic in law and politics.
- Students will be able to apply the key concepts when analyzing issues in a special topic in law and politics.
- Students will be able to discuss the key theoretical debates in a special topic in law and politics.
- Students will be able to relate debates in the special topic to larger debates in law and politics.
