POLS 5904 - Special Topics in International Relations This class provides an in-depth exploration of a special topic in international relations. Students study relevant cases, as well as the theories and concepts scholars and practitioners use to understand the topic under consideration.
Requisites: Credit Hours: 4 Repeat/Retake Information: May be repeated for a maximum of 60.0 hours. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,PR,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to analyze the key theoretical debates associated with a special topic in international relations.
- Students will be able to discuss the historical and political context of a special topic in international relations.
- Students will be able to analyze a special topic in international relations using strong written and oral communication skills.
- Students will be able to evaluate competing approaches on how to explain and understand outcomes associated with a special topic in international relations.
- Students will be able to relate debates in the special topic area to larger debates in international relations.
