POLS 5905 - Special Topics in Comparative Politics


This class provides an in-depth exploration of a special topic in comparative politics. Students are exposed to key concepts, theoretical debates, and/or methodological concerns with respect to the special topic in comparative politics.

Requisites:
Credit Hours: 4
Repeat/Retake Information: May be repeated for a maximum of 60.0 hours.
Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 lecture

Learning Outcomes:
  • Students will be able to communicate key ideas that pertain to a special topic in comparative politics in oral and/or written formats.
  • Students will be able to identify key resources to be used in answering questions that pertain to a special topic in comparative politics.
  • Students will be able to discuss key concepts in a special topic in comparative politics.
  • Students will be able to explain key theoretical debates in a special topic in comparative politics.
  • Students will be able to relate key debates in a special topic area to larger debates in comparative politics.
