PSY 7625 - Employee Turnover and Retention

Introduces doctoral students to the research literature on organizational withdrawal, notably turnover. As distinguished motivational scholars (Katz & Kahn, 1978) long noted, organizations must not only motivate their members to perform their work roles effectively but also induce them to remain in these work roles. Indeed, employees who quit obviously cannot be productive or contribute effectively to their organization’s mission.
