INST 4910 - Internship in International Studies The Center for International Studies internship course allows students to gain credit while immersed in a company/agency/organization related to international studies for the purpose of applying classroom learning and exploring career opportunities. The internship experience varies according to the interests of the students and the needs of the sponsoring organization.
Requisites: Permission required and (Soph or Jr or Sr) Credit Hours: 1 to 10 OHIO BRICKS: Bridge: Learning and Doing Repeat/Retake Information: May be repeated for a maximum of 10.0 hours.
Lecture/Lab Hours: 2.0 internship Eligible Grades: F,CR,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Term(s) Typically Offered: Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to apply intercultural competencies and foreign language skills in a work environment.
- Students will be able to identify career opportunities that will enable them to apply their practical skills gained from the internship experience.
- Students will be able to demonstrate a developing sense of self as a learner and reflect on how the internship experience prepared them for future challenges.
- Students will be able to convey their professional experience using a format, language, or visual representation in ways that enhance meaning.
