ENG 3333 - English Study Away This course introduces students who are participating in an English Department study away program to life writing, travel writing, and writing as a mode of learning. Students use writing as a means to engage in pre-flection and reflection on their travel experiences.
Credit Hours: 1 OHIO BRICKS: Bridge: Learning and Doing Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
Lecture/Lab Hours: 1.0 seminar Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to articulate uses of informal versus formal writing.
- Students will be able to apply craft elements of travel writing to new travel experiences.
- Students will be able to reflect on how travel experiences affect their development as learners.
- Students will be able to integrate knowledge from their academic program and study away experiences in multiple modes of writing.
