ENG 5915 - Internship Provides English graduate students with opportunities for engaged learning through direct experience and reflection to increase knowledge, develop skills, and elucidate professional values. Students are matched with a partner outside the Department of English for the purposes of applying classroom learning to a project needed by the partner and of exploring post-graduate career options outside traditional academic ones.
Requisites: Credit Hours: 1 to 12 Repeat/Retake Information: May be repeated for a maximum of 12.0 hours. Lecture/Lab Hours: 3.0 internship Grades: Eligible Grades: F,CR,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Students will be able to plan and research a project connected to their experience and academic knowledge in collaboration with a partner outside their academic department.
- Students will be able to predict potential challenges, solutions, and outcomes for a project in collaboration with a partner outside their academic department.
- Students will be able to connect disciplines and perspectives to complete a project needed by a partner outside their academic department.
- Students will be able to reflect on their own learning and its relationship to their evolving career plans.
