NRSE 7940 - Nursing Educator Practicum I
Focuses on faculty and preceptor guided experiences in curriculum development, teaching, and program evaluation in an educational setting as well as advanced nursing care experiences in a direct care setting.
Requisites: NRSE 7842, 7841, and 7211
Credit Hours: 4
Repeat/Retake Information: May be repeated for a maximum of 8.0 hours.
Lecture/Lab Hours: 5.0 practicum, 1.5 lecture

Learning Outcomes:
- Students will be able to compare and contrast criteria that comprise an effective education program for diverse nursing populations.
- Students will be able to describe aspects of the structure of diverse academic settings.
- Students will be able to differentiate educational standards set by governing bodies that impact nursing education.
- Students will be able to explore the roles, expectations, and scope of faculty practice of those employed in academic settings.
- Students will be able to implement an instructional unit relevant to an educational setting.
- Students will be able to demonstrate advanced nursing care in a direct care setting.
