NRSE 6842 - Family Nurse Practitioner Practicum III
Focuses on the role of the family nurse practitioner as an entry-level clinician to provide comprehensive healthcare for individuals and families from diverse backgrounds in the primary care setting. Building on course two, the emphasis is on advanced assessment, diagnosis, and clinical management of acute, chronic, and well visits relevant to the developmental, physical, and psycho-social health issues of individuals and families across the lifespan in the primary care setting.

Learning Outcomes:
- Students will be able to integrate the role of the FNP to provide comprehensive healthcare for individuals and families from diverse backgrounds with acute or chronic health problems in the primary care setting.
- Students will be able to appraise risk prevention and health promotion strategies for patients across the lifespan using evidence-based practice.
- Students will be able to synthesize the knowledge from physiological, psychological, social, and health sciences to provide evidence-based care collaboratively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Students will be able to appraise the social, ethical, legal, economic, political, technological, and environmental issues in the care of individuals and families in primary care.
- Students will be able to analyze practice management principles utilized in primary care.
