NRSE 6844 - Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Practicum II
Focuses on the role of the adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner as an interdisciplinary healthcare team member in the acute care setting. Emphasis on advanced assessment, diagnosis, and clinical management related to acute and emergent complex conditions of adults and older adults in the acute care setting.

Learning Outcomes:
- Students will be able to appraise the role of the AGACNP to provide healthcare for adult individuals from diverse backgrounds with complex health problems.
- Students will be able to use the knowledge of physiological, psychological, social, and health sciences to provide evidence-based care collaboratively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Students will be able to appraise differential diagnoses and symptom management plans for adults with complex conditions based on advanced assessment skills in the acute care setting.
- Students will be able to compare appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic interventions with emphasis on safety, cost, and efficacy.
- Students will be able to collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to facilitate quality care.
- Students will be able to examine ethical and legal considerations related to advanced nursing practice.
