NRSE 6841 - Family Nurse Practitioner Practicum II
Focuses on the role of the family nurse practitioner to provide comprehensive healthcare for individuals and families with complex health conditions from diverse backgrounds in the primary care setting. Building on clinical one course, the emphasis is on advanced assessment, diagnosis, and clinical management of skills relevant to the developmental, physical, psycho-social health issues of individuals and families across the lifespan in the primary care setting.

Learning Outcomes:
- Students will be able to explain the role of the FNP to provide comprehensive healthcare for individuals and families from diverse backgrounds with acute or chronic health problems in the primary care setting.
- Students will be able to compare risk prevention and health promotion strategies for patients across the lifespan using evidence-based practice.
- Students will be able to examine the knowledge from physiological, psychological, social, and health sciences to provide evidence-based care collaboratively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Students will be able to appraise the social, ethical, legal, economic, political, technological, and environmental issues in the care of individuals and families in primary care.
- Students will be able to examine practice management principles utilized in primary care.
