HIST 554B - Modern Christianity This course will explore the modern history of the world’s largest and most geographically diverse religious tradition. While primarily considering modern Christianity’s Euro-American “heartlands” this class will also examine Christianity’s transition during the modern period from a religion centered on Europe, its colonies and settlements to a global religion that has helped define and resist modernity.
