M E 720 - Advanced Nonlinear Finite Element Analysis

Advanced study in finite element analysis of solids and fluids, with emphasis on methodologies for nonlinear problems. Fundamental theory and computer implementations of various techniques are examined. Restricted to small groups, with extensive student participation required.

Prereq: 551 or CE 520.
