MATH 253 - Introduction to Statistics


An introductory course in applied statistics. Organization of data, central tendency and dispersion, probability, concept of random variables, binomial and normal probability distributions, estimation, testing hypotheses, linear regression and correlation, and analysis of variance. The course includes the use of spreadsheet software for statistical calculations on data.

Credit Hours: 5
