AAS 190 - Difficult Dialogues: Race, Law, and Religion in America By examining the historical and legal antecedents of present controversies surrounding race and ethnicity in the United States, this course helps students understand and discuss intelligently such issues. Students examine five major public policy issues directly affecting African Americans. The issues will build upon one another and will range in time from the creation of the U.S. Constitution to the present.
Credit Hours: 4 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken one time excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Note: Effective Summer Quarter 2010-11 (June 2011) any non-repeatable course may be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
