B A 345 - New Venture Creation I The focus of this two-sequence course is on the development of new business ventures rather than on the management of an existing business. The key outcome of these two courses is the development of a business plan, which will be presented to local bank loan officers and/or venture capitalists to be used to raise financial capital. By the end of the first course, students are required to have identified a feasible new product or service, market potential, and competitor products. Additional topics covered are legal issues, exploring available support resources for starting a new venture, and the importance of entrepreneurship in the economy.
