C E 419 - Construction Contracts and Law Provides students with the fundamentals of construction law, engineering and construction contracts, and specifications. Topics covered include: types of engineering and construction contracts, interpreting construction contacts, breach of contract, general conditions, special conditions, specifications, bonding, agency, tort liability, zoning requirements, cadastral surveying, arbitration of disputes, negotiation, mediation, claims analysis, and jurisdictional disputes.
Prerequisites: C E 316 Credit Hours: 3 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Note: Effective Summer Quarter 2010-11 (June 2011) any non-repeatable course may be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
