ECON 332 - Industrial Organization Market structures, market conduct, and social performance of industries. Emphasis upon firms’ strategic behavior in price and nonprice competition. Topics include oligopolistic pricing, strategic entry deterrence, location strategies, product quality, advertising, and research and development. Economic welfare implications of firms’ behavior examined.
Prerequisites: ECON 103 Credit Hours: 4 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken three times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Note: Effective Summer Quarter 2010-11 (June 2011) any non-repeatable course may be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
