EDEC 225 - Emergent Reading and Literacy

Emphasizes the development of reading and literacy from a global view of language, thinking, and learning. Attention is given to methods and materials with emphasis on the use of literacy within the framework of age and individual appropriateness.

Prerequisites: ADMISSION TO PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION
Credit Hours: 4
Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken three times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Note: Effective Summer Quarter 2010-11 (June 2011) any non-repeatable course may be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
