ENG 153A - Writing and Reading: Gender Same as 152 except that topics are developed from readings depicting women and men in literature. Students examine and write about how, in both literature and life, women and men see themselves and one another, how people learn what society expects of them, and about such topics as sexuality, marriage, friendship, and rebellion against culturally imposed sexual roles.
Prerequisites: ENG 150 OR 151 PLACEMENT Credit Hours: 5 General Education Code: 1E Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
