M L 370J - Translation as Writing

An introduction to the practice and theory of translation into English with special emphasis on translation as a form of writing/composition. Analysis and discussion of good writing and of the students’ own translations and compositions.

Prerequisites: (JR OR SR) & TIER 1 ENG & (FR 213 OR GER 213 OR SPAN 213 OR ITAL 213 OR RUS 213)
Credit Hours: 4

Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken an unlimited number of times, but only last course taken counts. Note: Effective Summer Quarter 2010-11 (June 2011) any non-repeatable course may be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
