MATH 456 - Theory of Interest and Life Contingencies Theory of interest and contingent payment models. Mathematical models for the actuarial present value of a future set of payments contingent on some random event(s); life insurance, life annuities, benefit reserves.
Prerequisites: MATH 450A Credit Hours: 4 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken three times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Note: Effective Summer Quarter 2010-11 (June 2011) any non-repeatable course may be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
