MUS 377B - Jazz Improvisation II

Learning and applying through improvisation the whole tone, diminished and blues scales, the Aeolian and Location modes, the ii-V7-I progression, and culminating with a final project utilizing blues form.

Prerequisites: C OR BETTER MUS 103
Credit Hours: 2
Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken one time excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Note: Effective Summer Quarter 2010-11 (June 2011) any non-repeatable course may be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
