OPN 300 - Principles of Operations Not open to Fr., Soph., or BBA Students. Examines how operations management provides a product or service with higher quality and at a lower cost than competition. Emphasis is on providing a conceptual understanding of the operations function, which includes: product/process design, facility location and layout, capacity planning, material and inventory management.
Prerequisites: ACCT 102 & (QBA 201 OR PSY 221 OR ECON 381 OR COMS 301 OR GEOG 271 OR MATH 251) & NOT COB Credit Hours: 4 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken three times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Note: Effective Summer Quarter 2010-11 (June 2011) any non-repeatable course may be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
