PBIO 114 - Foundations of Plant Biology This course is an introduction to the concepts of plant physiology and cellular and molecular biology that are the foundation of all biological processes. Topics include DNA structure and function leading to genetics and evolution, theories of the origins of life leading to cell structure and function, and bioenergetics. The lab provides supplemental information and hands on activities to reinforce the lecture topics.
Prerequisites: NOT PBIO 110 OR BIOS 170 Credit Hours: 5 General Education Code: 2NS Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken an unlimited number of times, but only last course taken counts. Note: Effective Summer Quarter 2010-11 (June 2011) any non-repeatable course may be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
