PBIO 217 - Women in Science The lives and discoveries of women scientists worldwide from 1800 to present are examined through biographies, films, speakers, personal interviews, lectures, writing, and discussion. Historical and current trends, including traditional and feminist methodologies, are considered for the sciences, science education, and society. No majors credit; does not satisfy Arts and Sciences area distribution requirements. Same as BIOS 217.
Prerequisites: (ENG 151 OR 152 OR 153) & (NO CREDIT TOWARD BIOS/PBIO MAJOR) & DOES NOT SATISFY A&S AREA DISTRIBUTION REQ Credit Hours: 4 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken one time excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Note: Effective Summer Quarter 2010-11 (June 2011) any non-repeatable course may be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
