MATH 586 - Introduction to Bioinformatics


Major topics and techniques in bioinformatics, including homology searches, sequence alignment, gene finding, phylogenetic trees. The course combines biological, mathematical, computational, and statistical approaches to the extraction of information from large sets of biomolecular data.
