MUS 504A - Analytical Techniques of Tonal Music I

A survey of techniques employed in the analysis of music of the tonal repertory. A variety of analytical tools will be employed to examine the rhythmic, melodic, harmonic, formal, and textural structures of a wide variety of tonal music.
