TCOM 484 - Television Genres Provides an examination of the evolution of of television genres. Its intent is to provide students with an aesthetic, historic, and critical underpinning that informs the production of new genre formations, even as the historic programmatic flow has become increasingly niche driven. As such, the course triangulates media studies with political economy of television and audience and textual analysis. Prerequisites: TCOM 202
Credit Hours: 4 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
