MDIA 3201 - Screenwriting: the Adaptation Professor leads students through the process of researching and pitching script ideas for screenplays based on pre-existing material such as short stories, plays, news articles, etc. Students then learn the proper business procedure required to obtain legal permission to adapt the work before writing, critiquing and rewriting a screenplay based on the work. This is a writing intensive course.
