BIOS 4190 - Computer Simulation in Biology Introduction to computer modeling and simulation in biological research. Designed to illustrate the power and limitations of computer simulation by having students code (in software simulation programs like Berkeley Madonna or Matlab) simulation programs for a number of different biological phenomena. Quantitative models used include those of enzyme kinetics, population biology, population genetics, epidemics, diffusion, and compartmental models in physiology and system biology.
