ENG 3240 - Jewish American Literature Studies in Jewish American literature from arrival in the 17th- century to the present; analysis of how Jewish American literature influences and is influenced by the classical canon of American literature and how Jewish American writers respond to the Jewish mandate - tikkum olam (to heal the world) - to place, environment, and the diaspora.
