MATH 1101 - Elementary Topics in Mathematics I Elementary Topics in Mathematics I&II is a sequence for majors in elementary education and related fields. The course focuses on the development of arithmetic and number systems, including whole numbers, integers, and rational numbers. Probability and data analysis are studied as applications of rational numbers and emphasize mathematical representation and communication. Satisfies Tier I requirement for elementary education majors only. Does not apply to Arts and Sciences natural science requirements.
