PHYS 4071 - Computer Simulation Methods in Physics Introduction to numerical methods used to solve problems in physics. Students are introduced to basic numerical methods and to the process of approaching problems from a computational point of view. Topics covered include differentiation and integration methods, numerical error analysis, data fitting, matrix methods, Monte Carlo strategies.
Requisites: MATH 3600 and previous experience in programming computer languages desired Credit Hours: 3.0 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
