THAR 2711 - Theater and Performance History II This course explores performance, literature, and theatrical practices from the Enlightenment through contemporary America, as well as in Africa and the Middle East. We strive to better comprehend history through performance, and to develop the critical and aesthetic tools to appreciate and understand plays, rituals, design, and theories of theater in their original contexts, as well as in todays world.
