EDSE 3500 - Secondary School Planning and Instruction Further develops preservice educators’ personal and philosophical beliefs on education, understanding of the changing world of teaching, and skills to design, implement, evaluate, and reflect upon the processes of secondary school teaching and learning. Introduces strategies to foster higher order thinking abilities among children and to make good use of community resources. Aimed to address Ohio Standards for the Teaching Profession and Praxis II, focuses on systematic planning, and various instructional methods: direct instruction, cooperative learning, differentiation of content instruction and effective classroom interaction through early field experience.
