COMS 1020 - Introduction to Undergraduate Communication Studies Introduces undergraduate COMS students to their major and equips them to thrive in the program. Students will engage with full-time faculty in the school as they complete discussions and assignments related to navigating the requirements of their major and the discipline of which they are a part. This is a required course for COMS majors. Transfer students must take the course the semester they are admitted to COMS.
Requisites: COMS major Credit Hours: 1 Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts. Lecture/Lab Hours: 1.0 lecture Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I Learning Outcomes: - Chart connections between communication competencies developed in COMS courses and diverse career paths.
