INST 5908 - Special Topics in Southeast Asian Studies

Research relevant to the region engaging in, but not limited to, analysis of thematic materials, that allow students to focus on one or more of the region’s features.

Requisites:
Credit Hours: 4
Repeat/Retake Information: May not be retaken.

Learning Outcomes:
  • Will be able to carry out analysis appropriate to the theme.
  • Will be able to demonstrate a general understanding and appreciation of the theme’s physical and human complexities.
  • Will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the cultural meaning and underlying structures related to topics selected.
  • Will be able to identify and discuss a range of theoretical perspectives related to topic.
