INST 5912 - Special Topics in Communications and Development:International Development & Technical Cooperation

Examines trends in international development aid and technical cooperation with an emphasis on how those trends shape international development practice and application. Includes hands-on training on proposal writing for international development, monitoring and evaluation, and logical frame planning.

Requisites:
Credit Hours: 4

Learning Outcomes:
  • Develop basic skills in grant proposal writing for international development, with a focus on current international development trends.
  • Learn basic skills expected from international development practitioners such as monitoring and evaluation of social development projects and logical frame planning.
  • Understand and critically examine trends in international development aid and technical cooperation.
