INST 5915 - Special Topics in International Development Studies: Development Practice

Examines contemporary development practice and evaluates contemporary methodologies to design, implement, monitor, and evaluate development policies, programs, and interventions

Requisites:
Credit Hours: 4
Repeat/Retake Information: May be repeated for a maximum of 8.0 hours.

Learning Outcomes:
  • Evaluate and critique contemporary methodologies for designing and implementing development interventions, including those emphasizing community-based, integrated, and participatory development.
  • Gain proficiency in standard monitoring and evaluations methods for development projects.
  • Understand and evaluate the evolution of development practice as undertaken by governments, NGOs, and community-based organizations.
