Development research examining environmental dimensions of international development.

Requisites:
Credit Hours: 4

Learning Outcomes:
  • Contrast different disciplinary approaches to studying environment-development interactions and the benefits and shortcomings of interdisciplinary approaches.
  • Critical assessment of environment and development frameworks in development studies.
  • Evaluate the role of environmental change in development processes, especially as related to connections between climate change, biodiversity, and livelihoods in the developing world.
  • Evaluate the role of environmental degradation in underdevelopment.
