ISE 6160 - Environmental Systems Engineering

Discusses issues of modern world where industrial systems/products provide comfort and convenience that everybody enjoys. However, some of these activities may adversely affect the environment (land, water, air) if we do not address some of potential problems carefully.

Requisites:
Credit Hours: 2
Repeat/Retake Information: May not be retaken.
Lecture/Lab Hours: 2.0 lecture
Grades: Eligible Grades: A-F,WP,WF,WN,FN,AU,I
Learning Outcomes:
  • Be familiar with pollution prevention, monitoring, and control.
  • Perform economic analysis.
  • Perform risk analysis.
  • Understand the impact of engineering solutions on the environment.
  • Understand the impact of environmental degradation on society.
